The overall objective of the workshop:
To enhance participants’ understanding of the challenges faced by workers under war conditions, by highlighting the legal and legislative tools that protect workers’ rights in such difficult circumstances. The workshop also aims to familiarize participants with labor laws and legislation, and how they can be applied under war conditions. In addition, to raise awareness of the importance of empowering workers and protecting their rights as an essential part of efforts aimed at reconstruction in war-affected areas, and achieving sustainable development in affected communities.
Which was implemented via the WhatsApp platform with the participation of a large number of experts and representatives of labor offices and under the patronage of the Minister of Labor at the Federal Ministry of Labor, Ms. Suad Hassan Al-Tayeb, implemented by the HR TOP Center for Human Resources Management, led by Dr. Muzamil Sudin Al-Katiabi. The workshop addressed the aspect that affected employment contracts and workers’ entitlements (in the private sector) in some states of Sudan only, given that the war left a noticeable impact on the economy and work in these areas.
